LiveSync Ad Formats



General Information

Approval Times

We need the TV commercial & digital creatives three days in advance to ensure a punctual start of the campaign
as there are ad approval times within the adserver.

Creative Hosting

  • Hosting the creatives on your own ad server gives you more flexibility.
  • We can host your digital creatives but do not support additional tracking beacons (pixels).
  • We recommend delivery on mobile devices only (tablet and smartphone).

Standard Formats for Optimal Campaign Performance

  • 320×50 (smartphone – most important banner for delivery)
  • 300×250 (tablet)
  • 468×60 (tablet)
  • 728×90 (tablet)

Special Formats / Interstitials (on Request)

  • 320×480 (smartphone – most common smartphone interstitial format for delivery)
  • 768×1024 (tablet – most common tablet interstitial format for delivery)

Specifications for Physical Creatives & 3rd-Party Tags

  • In general 3rd-Party-Tags are supported
  • In general images and HTML5 are supported
  • 320×50 must be a static image only
  • All other creatives can be animated but looping must end after 30 seconds
  • Limit: max. 150 KB initial load per mobile creatives (smartphone + tablet)
  • Additional load must be polite and can't exceed 2.2 MB
  • All creatives and landingpage- / trackingpixel-tags must be able to serve on secure inventory
  • NON SSL compliant creatives and tracking will not get audited and therefore cannot be used for delivery
  • Separate and ssl secure impression & click trackers for each creative recommended

Video Creatives

Option 1: Video File

  • Allowed video file types: .avi, .flv, .mov, .mp4, .m4v, .mpeg, .mpg, .oga, .ogg, .ogv, .webm, .wmv
  • Limit: 1 GB, however, individual exchanges may have different max. file sizes, so please plan accordingly
  • Aspect ratio: Videos must have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (e.g. 640×360) or 4:3 (e.g. 640×480)
  • Clickthrough URL: Make sure the creative has a clickthrough URL specified. Please note that the clickthrough URL will be opened in a new window

Option 2: VAST XML

  • Mobile (smartphone + tablet) video creatives must be formatted according to VAST 2.0 or VAST 3.0 specification
  • Upload at least all of the following 3 file formats for the VAST XML TAG:
  • FLV for flash video players, MP4 (preferable H.264) and one WebM file for mobile/HTML5 video players
  • Skippable element for videos longer than 15 sec is recommended 
  • Aspect ratio: Videos must have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (e.g. 640×360) or 4:3 (e.g. 640×480)
  • Clickthrough URL: Make sure the creative has a clickthrough URL specified. Please note that the clickthrough URL will be opened in a new window

Facebook Creatives

Important notice: With the shutdown of FBX on October 1, 2016 syncing with Facebook creatives will no longer be supported.

Option 1: Newsfeed Ad

  • Title: Up to 55 characters long for newsfeed creatives
  • Message: Up to 215 characters long for newsfeed creatives
  • Body text: Up to 200 characters long for newsfeed creatives
  • Caption URL text: Up to 30 characters long
  • Clickthrough URL text: Up to 1024 characters long
  • Image: 1200 x 628 pixel is recommended (1.9:1 aspect ratio), but any image with at least 600 width pixel can be supported.
                 Accepted file formats are GIF, JPG or PNG up to max. 500 KB. Images can't be more than 20% text.
  • Restrictions: Facebook's general restrictions and text restrictions apply

Option 2: Right-Hand-Side Ad

  • Title: Up to 25 characters long for right-hand-side creatives
  • Message: does not apply for right-hand-side creative
  • Body text: Up to 90 characters long for right-hand-side creatives
  • Caption URL text: does not apply for right-hand-side creative
  • Clickthrough URL text: Up to 1024 characters long
  • Image: 1200 x 628 pixel is recommended (1.9:1 aspect ratio), but any image with at least 600 width pixel can be supported.
